WRITING

As a form of self expression it's got a lot going for it. It's cheap and the tools are readily available. Like any form it isn't without its restrictions but who can say with any authority what those restrictions are? Evolution takes place out on the edges of perceived limitation, those blurred boundaries that previous generations reached towards.

If it is true that, as a species, we are only limited by our imaginations, then surely it must be doubly true of writers. Whatever limits we believe in are imagined limits, and it is only when we butt up against them that we imagine a way to reach beyond.

What will we allow ourselves to say? How will we allow ourselves to say it?
